Frank Poveromo, DPT, is a dedicated physical therapist driven by a strong passion for helping people move better, live healthier lives, and return to the activities they enjoy without limitation. He specializes in highly individualized treatment plans designed to restore mobility, reduce pain, enhance athletic performance, and optimize overall function for both daily life and sport.
Frank earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science through Bergen Community College in partnership with William Paterson University and completed both his Health Science degree and Doctor of Physical Therapy at Stockton University. Prior to becoming a licensed physical therapist, he accumulated over 10 years of experience as a personal trainer and strength coach, working with individuals across the full performance spectrum—from general fitness populations to Division I and professional athletes. Earlier in his academic career, Frank was nearly 70% through a computer science degree before a re-injury as an athlete reshaped his educational and professional path and ultimately led him to physical therapy.
That technical background continues to influence his clinical approach today. Frank is highly fluent in technology and leverages modern tools, data-driven decision-making, and emerging AI applications to enhance outcomes, streamline care, and cut through industry noise to deliver the most effective, evidence-based treatment strategies possible.
As a former multi-sport athlete with experience in baseball, basketball, football, and golf, Frank brings firsthand understanding of the physical and psychological demands of injury, rehabilitation, and return to play. This perspective allows him to connect authentically with athletes and active individuals while applying current research, advanced technology, and best clinical practices to guide efficient, high-quality recovery without shortcuts.
Frank has a strong passion for athletics—particularly golf, baseball, and basketball—and works closely with active individuals to improve performance, reduce injury risk, and build long-term durability. He places a heavy emphasis on patient education, empowering clients to understand their bodies, take ownership of their health, and maintain results well beyond the clinic.
Outside of the clinic, Frank enjoys playing golf as often as possible and creating golf-related content online. He trains regularly using a state-of-the-art home golf simulator and values time spent with his wife and son, who share an active lifestyle.
Frank Poveromo, DPT, is proud to be part of the Optimal Health team and is excited to help the Egg Harbor Township community move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives.
